A few weeks ago in Parsha Balak, the halftorah included a favorite and somewhat well known verse... "Human being, you have already b...

Jenna
I am a 22 year old farm girl, believer in the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, daughter of two dear parents and sister to 7 siblings on earth and 1 in Heaven. Each day I seek to make the most mundane tasks of daily living an act of art and worship to the L-rd; with exceeding joy. This blog is a mere glimpse of that journey.

Real Women in Obedience to G-d...

"To me, a lady is not frilly, flouncy, flippant, frivolous and fluff-brained, but she is gentle. She is gracious. She is godly and she is giving... You and I, if we are women, have the gift of femininity. Very often it is obscured, just as the image of God is obscured in all of us... The more womanly we are, the more manly men will be, and the more God is glorified. As I say to you women, 'Be women. Be only women. Be real women in obedience to God.'" Elisabeth Elliot

Life is an Offering

"The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of Christian, but the fact that I am a Christian does make me a different kind of woman. For I have accepted G-d's idea of me, and my whole life is an offering back to Him of all that I am and all that He wants me to be." -Elisabeth Elliot

Dignity

“When a woman veils her body in modest clothing, she is not hiding herself from men. On the contrary, she is revealing her dignity to them.” - Unknown

Remember...

"G-d never witholds from His child that which His love and wisdom call good. G-d's refusals are always merciful -- "severe mercies" at times but mercies all the same. G-d never denies us our hearts desire except to give us something better."

~Elisabeth Elliot

Waiting...

You may think of waiting as a passive, inactive time. Waiting on the Lord is anything but inactive. While you wait on Him, you will be praying with a passion to know Him, His purpose, His ways...

Waiting on Him is always worth the wait. His timing and His ways are always right. You must depend on Him to guide you in His ways and in His timing to accomplish His purpose.

To Remember:

Let us see that we keep G-d before our eyes; that we walk in His ways and seek to please and glorify Him in everything, great and small."

-Hudson Taylor

Don't Reject the Blessing!

The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing, but in our culture we apply for a curse and reject the blessing!
